The i-GP Prescription
Prescriptions can be provided by doctors via i-GP, but will only be provided under circumstances that are in accordance with UK law.
The prescriptions you can acquire via i-GP are private prescriptions only. You cannot acquire NHS prescriptions. You accept that private prescriptions are fulfilled at a charge, those charges are unique to the fulfilling pharmacy and not under the control or influence in any way of i-GP or the doctors prescribing medicines via the website. It is your choice as to whether you have that prescription fulfilled and at what cost.
Any prescription that you receive via i-GP is a private prescription and is valid for use in the United Kingdom at legal UK Pharmacies only. You are charged £15 for a doctor's assessment and this may include a private prescription which is sent directly to a pharmacy. This cost may vary from time to time at the sole discretion of i-GP but will be shown on the i-GP website.
You understand and accept that there is absolutely no guarantee that you will, nor are you entitled, to receive a prescription of any kind or for any medicines whatsoever through the use of i-GP, the services or by way of a consultation with a doctor.
i-GP is not an online pharmacy nor is it a prescription provision or fulfillment service. Prescriptions will only be issued by the doctors under circumstances that are appropriate, legal, responsible and as the result of reviewing the information that you have provided. You wholly understand and accept there is no guarantee whatsoever that you will be issued or provided with a prescription for any medication by a doctor through i-GP under any circumstances that are not legal, responsible and at the sole discretion of the consulting doctor. You accept when an i-GP doctor decides that it is not in your best interests to receive prescribed treatment.
Furthermore, i-GP and it’s doctors are not responsible for any legal prescriptions provided to you that legal UK Pharmacies refuse to dispense upon. You hold i-GP completely harmless in such circumstances accepting that it absolutely remains the individual pharmacists right to refuse to fulfill a prescription and/or dispense medications when presented with a legal prescription. None of this affects your statutory rights.
Each prescription will contain one item only. If you need multiple prescriptions as a result of suffering with multiple ailments, you accept that there will be different prescriptions for each condition and that you will have to complete a separate assessment for each condition. This will be at a cost of £15 for each assessment completed which may include a prescription.
Contents of Prescriptions
You accept without question that qualified doctors are creating prescriptions and the contents of these items is individual, based on your accounts and presentations at a certain time in your online assessment. As such these contents may vary, the precise nature of the content shall be at the sole discretion of the doctor and you agree to hold harmless i-GP, its employees, its directors and affiliates from any claim that may arise as a result of the contents of such items. You also agree not to tamper with any of the content of these items whatsoever if you are provided with them and that there is no guarantee or warranty by i-GP, its employees, directors, and affiliates that the items will contain the content you hoped, were informed of, interpreted as including, understood or believed they would. The content shall be of a type the qualified doctor who reviews your assessment believes is appropriate, safe, responsible and legal.
Receiving your Prescription
You understand and agree that prescriptions sent by fax are deemed to have been delivered to the pharmacy once it has been marked as “sent” - this will include the recording of the date and time said prescription is electronically sent from i-GP to the pharmacy. Such records shall be accepted by you, without question, as proof that we have sent your prescription and fulfilled our obligation to provide such a prescription and are deserving of the related fees. If you do not contact us and inform us of any issues, we will deem your prescription medication to have been received by you within twenty-four hours of us marking it as sent.
You understand and agree that i-GP will endeavour to email you a treatment plan within 1 hour of completion of the digital questionnaire, but that you forego all liability against i-GP if this is not sent or received by yourself within 1 hour. You understand that we will contact you by email requesting to which pharmacy you would like us to send your prescription ( if you have not supplied this information already ). You understand and agree that if the treatment plan is received over 1 hour from completion of the digital health questionnaire, that you will not automatically be entitled to a refund and that you will still be expected to pay the full i-GP prescription fee. If you do not receive your treatment plan then we advise you to check your email's spam/junk folder.
You accept that i-GP is not responsible for the spam, junk or mail receipt prevention tactics of your email service provider/host who may for whatever reason and outside of i-GP control/place emails from us containing information and/or documents that you require and/or have paid us for from reaching you. In these instances, you understand and accept that you must take such access issues up with your email provider and not i-GP.
If you are offered the opportunity by a doctor to acquire a prescription via i-GP then you may choose to receive your prescription using the delivery services described below, which are charged at the relevant costs at the time of selection and purchase. If you acquire a prescription we will try and deliver it to the pharmacy that you request, but we have no control whether they will accept our prescription. If they do not then you will be required to tell us of an alternative pharmacy that we will contact. i-GP is not liable for the length of time it may take for a successful transmission of your prescription through an electronic fax system. If you request a postal prescription i-GP will deliver it to the address (postal address) that you have provided in your account, which is located in My Account. You accept that it is entirely your responsibility to ensure that the details you log about yourself are at all times accurate and up-to-date and that if for any reason they are not correct and that fault results in a delivery from us failing, you indemnify and hold i-GP harmless against any claim or loss whatsoever or howsoever arising, because we are not responsible for ensuring that you have entered your details correctly.
